Gold Cross EMS is one of only seven ambulance services in Georgia, and 205 nationwide,
selected for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' Emergency Triage, Treat, and
Transport (ET3) model. Gold Cross EMS is the only ambulance service within 2 hours of the
CSRA authorized to provide ET3 services. ET3 is a revolutionary voluntary five-year payment
model that is only available to selected participants, such as Gold Cross EMS. ET3 will allow
patients with Medicare to have a voice in their healthcare and provide ambulance services with
greater flexibility to address the emergency health care needs of Medicare fee-for-service
beneficiaries following a 911 call.
Gold Cross EMS is pleased to announce that current Chief Operating Officer Steven Vincent has
been promoted to Vice President. Steven has spent the last several years solidifying Gold Cross
as one of the top ambulance services in the state of Georgia. Gold Cross has seen extreme
growth in our business under his leadership.
Vincent has been at Gold Cross in some capacity for 12 years. During his tenure he has served
as Director of Information Technology, Director of Billing, and most recently Chief Operating
Officer. Vincent holds a Bachelor?s Degree from Appalachian State University in Computer
information Systems, a Bachelor?s Degree in Marketing from University of North Carolina
(Wilmington) and a MBA from the University of South Carolina (Aiken).
Gold Cross EMS announced today that it recently purchased the new
ZOLL X Series Monitor/Defibrillator to equip 44 of its ambulances and Quick Response Vehicles to help
treat the citizens of the CSRA. The ZOLL X Series is about half the size and half the weight of competitive
full-featured monitor-defibrillators, but a lot more powerful thanks to its advanced capabilities.

Gold Cross EMS in Martinez has received a 3 year re-accreditation from the
Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services for its continued compliance with national
standards of excellence. Gold Cross EMS is one of only 180 ambulance services in the country to
successfully complete the voluntary review process which included completion of a comprehensive
application and on-site review by national experts in emergency medical services (EMS). With this
achievement, Gold Cross EMS remains one of only 8 ambulance services out of 270 in Georgia to be
accredited in the state and one of only two in South Carolina.
Gold Cross EMS is pleased to announce the introduction of the CSRA?s first ever EMS Explorer Program. The Explorer program is a co-ed program used to introduce young people (14-20) to the exciting world of Emergency Medical Services. This program will introduce youth to many aspects of public safety and the medical field.

Gold Cross EMS has been approved as an Emergency Medical Dispatch Center of Excellence on 9/22/2016 by the Board of Accreditation of the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED). Therefore, Gold Cross EMS earned the distinguished honor of becoming the 222nd Emergency Medical Dispatch Accredited Center in the world, and only the 6th in the state of Georgia out of hundreds of dispatch centers.Read More
